Trustly
Trustly is a European online banking payment method that helps secure online transfers between bank accounts. Over 90% of the European shopper bank accounts are supported by Trustly, accounting for about 75% of active European users and a vast merchant base. Additionally, Trustly supports multi-currency conversion making cross border payment easier for the Nordic countries.
High encryption standards protect online transfers made via Trustly. Shoppers are redirected to a Trustly hosted payment page where they pay from their online banking environment.

How does Trustly work?
- Shoppers choose Trustly as the payment type on the checkout page.
- Shoppers get redirected to the Trustly payment page, where they must select their bank name. For returning customers, their saved bank account appears, and new customers save their bank account for the first time.
- Shoppers are routed to their banking environment.
- Shoppers authenticate online banking with their banking credentials.
- Trustly asks for a Two-factor authentication to complete the payment.
- After payment completion, they are redirected to the shop with the order status notification.

Setup with Trustly integration in your webshop using any of the following integration methods based on your business model. Previously, you must have enabled the Trustly payment method in the Novalnet Admin Portal.
