Test & Go Live

Use the Novalnet test payment data available at: /testing

Test Mode

To enable test transactions:

  • Navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> Projects -> {choose your project} -> Payment plugin configuration
  • Select your preferred payment methods and and click Test mode to enable it.
  • In the test mode, the transaction amount will not be charged by Novalnet.

Go Live

Before processing live transactions, disable Test Mode for the preferred payment methods in the Novalnet Admin Portal.

Payment Activation in the Novalnet Admin Portal

All the Novalnet supported payment methods can be viewed here: www.novalnet.com/payment if you have questions about the payment methods or additional payment method requests, please contact sales@novalnet.de

To activate the preferred payment methods for your website,

  1. Navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> Projects.
  2. Choose your project -> Payment Methods -> and click Edit Payment Methods in the top right corner.
  3. Next, select the preferred payment methods.
  4. You can also sort the payment methods in any order through "Drag and Drop" positioning.
  5. Finally, click Update to save them on the checkout page.


To use the Apple Pay payment method,

  1. Navigate to Apple Pay -> Configure -> Add new domain in the Novalnet Admin Portal.
  2. Then, paste your shop domain for which you enable Apple Pay.
  3. Click Download verification file. You will need to host that verification file in your domain's root directory.

For example: https://magento.novalnet.de/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association


Please note that if the .well-known directory is not available, you have to create it.

To use the PayPal payment method, configure the PayPal API details in Novalnet Admin Portal as shown below


To use the PostFinance payments, configure Ep2-Merchant ID details in Novalnet Admin Portal as shown below

Payment Configuration in Novalnet Admin Portal

For payment configuration settings, navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> projects -> {choose your project} -> Payment plugin configuration on the right. Then, choose the required payment methods, configure the additional payment settings and save the changes made.

Global Configuration


  1. Display payment method logo: By enabling this option, all payment logos will be displayed on the chockout page.
  2. Display invoice payments: The selected payment method will be displayed on the checkout page (Supported payment methods: Payment by invoice and Prepayment).
  3. Subscription payments: By enabling this option, allows the selected payment methods to process subscription orders.
  4. Back-end order payments: By enabling this option, allows payments to be processed for back-end orders.

Additional Configuration

For additional payment configuration settings for each payment methods, navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> Projects -> {choose your project} -> Payment plugin configuration in the top right corner. Then, choose the payment methods and configure the required additional payment settings as described below.
