App Installation

Required Actions Prior to Installation:

  • Log in to the Novalnet Admin Portal.
  • Log in to your Shopify Shop System.
  • Make sure that you have extracted the payment plugin package from the zip file you have received. If you have received only the installation guide without the payment app installation link, please send us a mail to technic@novalnet.de with your merchant ID
  • Ensure that you have created Access Keys for your account. If not, click on Create a New Access Key to generate them. For more details, refer here.

Installation

For installing a different payment app, please select your preferred option from the dropdown above.

Supported Payment List:

Step 1: Navigate to the payment app installation link - https://apps.shopify.com/novalnet-payments and click Install.

Step 2: In your Shopify shop system, an Install app pop-up will appear. Click on Install.

Step 3: Enter the mandatory values in the Novalnet API configuration, and click Submit as shown below.

  • Product activation key - a unique token for merchant authentication and payment processing.
  • Payment access key - your secret key used to encrypt the data to avoid user manipulation and fraud.
  • Tariff ID - a unique identifier which is dynamically created based on the tariff type at Novalnet.

Payment Settings

Under the Payment Settings tab, you will find the configuration for the payment methods, as shown below. For more details, refer to this link.

Notification / Webhook URL Setup

In the Novalnet Global Configuration page on your shop system, you will find your Send e-mail to in Notification / Webhook URL Setup as shown below.

Send e-mail to - Every execution will be sent as a message to the e-mail address defined in this field.

Step 4: Click Activate to activate the payment app in the Shopify store as shown below

To view the Novalnet Global Configuration, navigate to Settings -> Payments under Supported Payment Methods. Select the desired payment methods, then click More Actions and select Manage.

To activate the preferred payment methods for your website, navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> Projects -> Choose your projects -> Payment Methods -> click Edit Payment Methods in the top right corner as shown below

Now select the preferred payment methods and click Update to activate them.

Deactivate the Novalnet Payment App from Shopify

Log in to your Shopify Admin Panel, Navigate to Settings -> Payments, Locate Novalnet - Payments in the list of payment providers and click the Deactivate button as shown below.

To complete the deactivation process, click on Deactivate.

Once we deactivate Novalnet - Payments, customers will no longer be able to use it as a payment method during checkout.
