eps is an online bank transfer payment method that allows shoppers to transfer funds between accounts over a secured internet. eps is a redirect payment type that acts as a gateway to process Austrian bank transfers online. eps supports only Euro currency in Austria, accounting for about 83% of Austrian users making the cross border and bank transfer payments. How does eps work?
- Shoppers need to choose the eps payment type on the checkout page.
- Shoppers get redirected to the eps bank selection page.
- Once shoppers select their bank, they are routed to its net banking environment.
- Shoppers log in to their bank through their online banking credentials and PIN.
- They authorize the payment using Strong Customer Authentication.
- When the payment is complete, shoppers will be redirected to the shop with the order status notification.
