Manage Module Options

Refer to the Manage Payment Configuration (v13) page for details about Testing and Going Live, Payment Activation in the Novalnet Admin Portal, Payment Configuration in the Novalnet Admin Portal, and Additional Configuration.

Magento 2 Shop System Configuration

To get your API Credentials:

  • Go to the Novalnet Admin Portal, navigate to Projects, select your project, and click API Credentials.
  • Copy the API Signature (Product activation key) and Payment Access Key, then paste them into the respective fields in your Magento 2 admin panel.

The main configuration is done in both your Magento 2 shop system and the Novalnet Admin Portal.

  1. In Magento 2, navigate to STORES -> Configuration -> SALES -> Payment Methods -> OTHER PAYMENT METHODS -> Novalnet , then click Configure button.
  2. Expand the Configuration option and enter the following API Credentials And Click Activate button.
    • API Signature (Product activation key)
    • Payment Access Key
  3. Select the Tariff ID from the dropdown menu, which you created in the Novalnet Admin Portal.
  4. Display payment method: To display payment methods at checkout, set Display payment method to Yes and save the configuration. This enables methods activated in the Novalnet Admin Portal.
  5. On-hold order status Set the status that will be used for on-hold orders until the transaction is confirmed or canceled.(Supported payment methods: Credit Card, Direct Debit SEPA, Direct Debit ACH, Direct debit SEPA with payment guarantee, Instalment by SEPA direct debit, Payment by Invoice, Invoice with payment guarantee, Instalment by invoice, PayPal, Googlepay and Applepay)
  6. Completed order status: Set the status that will be used for completed orders.
    • Pending: For Direct debit SEPA with payment guarantee, Invoice with payment guarantee, Instalment by invoice, Instalment by SEPA direct debit, Multibanco & PayPal payments, the order status changes from Pending to Processing when transaction is confirmed.
    • Processing: For Payment by invoice payment, when an end customer transfers the amount to Novalnet, the callback script will be triggered, and the order status changes from Processing to Completed.
    • Completed: Once the order has been placed successfully, the status for the respective payment will be set as Completed when transaction is confirmed.
    • Cancelled: Once the order is cancelled, the status for the respective payment will be set as Cancelled.
  7. Product remain in the shopping cart after cancelled payment: By enabling this option, will retain the products in the shopping cart even after payment cancellation.
  8. Deactivate Instalment Renewal Notification E-mail to end-customer: By enabling this option, end-customers will no longer receive email notifications with renewals messages for orders made through Instalment by SEPA direct debit and Instalment by Invoice.

Notification/Webhook configuration

In the Configuration section of your shop system, find the Notification / Webhook URL under Notification / Webhook URL Setup. Click Configure to link Notification / Webhook URL to the Novalnet Admin Portal.

You can also manually test the Webhook URL and send a notification email to a specific address.

  • Notification / Webhook URL - Required to keep the merchant’s database/system up to date and synchronized with Novalnet always (for example: up-to-date transaction status delivery).
  • Allow manual testing of the Notification / Webhook URL - Enable this to test the Novalnet Notification / Webhook URL manually. Disable this before setting your shop system into live, to block unauthorized calls from external parties.
  • Send e-mail to - Every execution will be sent as a message to the e-mail address defined in this field.

Payment Activation in the Novalnet Admin Portal

To activate the preferred payment methods for your website, navigate to Novalnet Admin Portal -> Projects -> {choose your project} -> Payment Methods -> click Edit Payment Methods in the top right corner.
